trebor's review of Brunton Park

It must be the oldest looking, oddest looking and biggest old school stadium of it's kind.
If your going for a one off do not waste your money in the new stand. Unless you only want to look what theses grounds were like to visit.
They even have a crap program, (the 2nd crappiest in the '92' after Huddersfield's 'Upside down Newspaper that they had last season 14/15) So you have 1930's, 1990's stands and a 1980's program to complete the set.

Location

Good 15-20 minute flat walk from station Head towards traffic lights, turn right at Nando's and you will be there quicker than you know it. It looks further on 'Google Street View'
I didn\'t see a Bus on my way their so check! There are plenty of stop\'s by the station and on the Warwick Road.
Why doesn't Carlisle have any rubbish bins? Especially so close to such an historic building! And center!

View

If you can stand all game you'll be fine. if you cannot don't buy a ticket for the terraces!!
If your in the terrace you can walk around to stretch tour legs if you want and can wonder around both stands.
A traditional walk to a traditional ground, it brings back memories if your own Clubs moved to an all seater the suburbs.

Facilities

Even though their appeared to be one Toilet block for the end of a busy \'\'Paddock\'\' It was empty when I went it was very clean but a bit dark.
As your in a terrace you won\'t need to wait for others to stand to let you by either.
Great for a one-off visit, but the Paddock must be pretty dismal on a wet November Tuesday. when they are 3-0 down.

Police & Stewards

Good, It was Barnet 300 miles from home even the ball boys out numbered them and could have kept them in check.

Atmosphere

No generic crap chanting from Carlisle. To those who claim all-seater stadiums ruin the atmosphere.
The most noise came from the seated area above the Paddock not the terraces!!
Barnet were poor the same old generic crap becoming more popular particular from those Clubs based in dull/bland London commuter towns. Could this be a reason for the songs??
Dull/Bland towns, so Dull/Bland Fans!
