"One of my favourite away games"

Oddly enough, Blundell Park is actually one of my favourite grounds to visit - mainly due to the fact that we seem to get good results there! I remember winning 4-1 during our excellent season in 2003 and I don't think I've actually seen a bad result there.
Blundell Park isn't much to look at and is in need of some repair, but sadly Grimsby are looking at building a new stadium out-of-town. In my opinion, it'll be a sad day when they move.

Location

It depends how you're travelling really - the train station is a fair old walk away, but if you're driving, the ground is easy to find and there's ample parking on side streets.

View

It's an old ground, with a couple of pillars (I think), but it's okay... unless you're on the temporary standing in the corner... this is left uncovered and can be a bit cold with the wind blowing off the North Sea!

I've been to Blundell Park supporting Sheffield United many times and not experienced any troubles. However, on my one visit with Scunthorpe, there was some trouble and the Lincs police were absolutely useless...
Firstly, it seemed that Grimsby had sold too many tickets and people were stood around the entrance/exit for almost the entire game. But after the match was where it all kicked off with a fair bit of trouble in the streets around the ground - the Lincs police had trouble restoring order.
However, this is the only time I've seen problems in about half a dozen visits to the ground - and it won't stop me going again.

Atmosphere

Atmosphere from the home support is fairly good, but they don't like losing - we have been spat at on the way out before.
