First Game

My first experience of football was non league games watching Stourbridge and Dudley Town. My 1st Football League game was the 1987 Division 4 Play Off Final between Wolves and Aldershot at Molineux, which Wolves lost!

Best Game

It has to be Wolves v Sheffield United in the 2003 Play Off Final at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff. Great day and great memory as Wolves won 3-0 to secure promotion to Premier League. Special mentions go to Wolves v Sheffield Wednesday in FA Cup 4th round replay 1995 (Wolves won on pens), Wolves v Newcastle in FA Cup 3rd Rnd (3-2 win in 2003), Wolves v Man United (1-0 win in 2004), Wolves v Leicester (4-3 win 2003) and Wolves v Blackburn (3-2 loss in 2011 but survived on final day).

As a commentator, I would include commentating at Anfield, St. James’s Park, Old Trafford and covering Europa and Conference League matches in Portugal, France and the Netherlands, as career highlights.

Worst Game

Unfortunately it was Walsall v Dagengham in a FA Cup 2nd round replay on a cold Tuesday night in December, 2011. It was 0-0 after extra time and Walsall lost on penalties.

I don't like its location but it's a fantastic stadium. I've been lucky enough to go to numerous Cup and play-off finals. Special mentions for The Etihad, Principality Stadium and Stadium MK, although the latter lacks an atmosphere. I've not been to The Emirates or Tottenham Hotspur Stadium yet. Lille's Stade Pierre Mauroy is also a fantastic stadium.

I won't pick a non-league ground as that's unfair given their resources and I think there's something about basic facilities and terracing that adds to the non-league atmosphere. A ground that should do better is Peterborough's London Road. It needs a revamp!
